Kim Barnes, GRI, AHWD
Kim brings to the industry a wealth of knowledge and experience in client relations, sales, negotiating and marketing. Kim is a fulltime REALTOR licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia where she was born and raised. She holds an Associates of Arts Degree in Business along with her Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) Designation. She's an active Investor, Consultant, Notary Public and has earned her At Home with Diversity (AHWD) and Workforce Housing Counselor (WHC) Certifications all with the state of Maryland.
Before starting her career in the Real Estate Industry in 2005, Kim spent 15 years working in customer relations with Verizon with a primary focus on business clients including DOD. Coming from a background in customer service she learned satisfied clients come and go while delighted clients remain. Nothing excites her more than a client receiving the best solutions to their real estate needs with a level of service above and beyond their expectations. Her true passion for helping others reach their real estate goals is why she brand herself with “My Focus is Your Success”
Kim's previous experience working in the real estate industry include many years working as a MD Licensed Real Estate Appraiser Trainee under the supervision of a Certified Appraiser. She conducted research on client's local market, verified property data inventory, analyzed site plans and assessed construction value to help develop an estimated opinion of market value of client's homes. She has invested many hours of continued education in both fields in order to provide her client's with the best service possible.
Kim's appraisal education and background provides her with a profound understanding of market conditions and what helps dictate value in real property from a total different perspective than the average REALTOR/Agent. Also it has played a huge role in her success as a REALTOR when representing sellers and buyers since 2006.
Rather than just selling real estate, Kim takes a rapport building approach by listening to understand the needs of her clients. She provide information, expertise and support her client's need to help them make the best decision with regards to their real estate needs. Her goal is to provide real estate service that is above and beyond her client's expectations enabling her clients to share their positive experience with family and friends seeking assistance with their real estate needs.
Kim's rapport building approach has allowed her to build a successful real estate practice based on referrals with a high level of integrity and a large professional network. Not only is she licensed to sell but, she's also the Founder of The Chosen Group LLC where she successfully purchase, sell, rehab and develop residential real estate for the company and for clients.
